Job description

S2 Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate to work with Information Technology (IT) management. The candidate would implement and assist with a variety of IT duties involving system administration, networking infrastructure, data management and network security. The qualified candidate would also implement and maintain current computers in the company infrastructure including employee workstations, networked servers and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain computer workstations for users.

  • Solve general user issues with company IT services and infrastructure as required.

  • Manage the company network, including servers, routers and other networking hardware.

  • Maintain and monitor the IT infrastructure for the company for security risks, data backup status, and general health.

  • Take a lead role in maintaining the IT infrastructure to support security certification compliance.

  • Be the primary interface to external groups regarding company IT infrastructure and operation.

  • Assist the engineering team to implement hardware solutions for high performance data collection and analysis.

Desirable Skills & Abilities

Infrastructure & Virtualization

  • Proven experience managing and maintaining a VMware virtualization environment

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration and exposure to Ubuntu/Linux systems

  • Expertise with on-prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory synchronization, group policy management, and domain services

Cloud & Microsoft 365 Ecosystem

  • Full lifecycle Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Phones and Teams Rooms (Yealink or similar ecosystems)

  • Familiarity with license management through a CSP partner or Microsoft 365 admin center

  • Comfortable with Intune for device management and policy enforcement

Networking & Security

  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Fortinet security stack: FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, and FortiAPs

  • VLAN management, policy creation, virtual IPs, NAT rules

  • IPSec and SSL VPN setup and troubleshooting

  • Strong grasp of network segmentation and zero trust principles

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Working knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks (800-53 or 800-171)

  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

  • Experience deploying and managing CrowdStrike EDR, including USB protection policies

  • Exposure to SIEM solutionsActZero/Watchtower highly desirable

  • Familiarity with Duo MFA and YubiKey hardware token configurations

  • Patch and vulnerability management via ManageEngine Desktop Central and Log360

General Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, endpoints, and cloud systems

  • Ability to write and maintain documentation and SOPs

  • Comfortable working with compliance, audit, and security teams

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively

S2 Corporation’s General Employee Requirements:

  • Do work with defense department contracts with security restrictions. Applicants must be U.S. citizens to be eligible and must be willing to apply for a security clearance.

  • Be able to perform physical tasks around the lab and office spaces such as sitting and standing, each for at least an hour multiple times throughout a day.

  • Clear communication of your efforts so that others can reproduce your efforts.

  • Attend required organizational meetings in person or through videoconferencing.

  • Efficiently use word processing, spreadsheet, time reporting, procurement and other software used by employees of S2 Corporation.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 based tools.
